Challenge Yourself for Cocktails and Tapas.
Today I have done one thing I have never done before. I held a Pecha Kucha presentation at a leadership teambuilding session at work.
We had a teambuilding event at work today for the leaders at the call centre. The first half of the event was held by me, and for the first time in my life I held a Pecha Kucha presentation. This has been a dream of mine for a long time to try, and today I reached this little goal in my life. It was a presentation about positive thinking, where I talked about my philosophy around the topic while 20 slides with positive inspirational images and quotes was swapping every 20 seconds. It was an interesting experience, and I bet everybody could tell I was a rookie. But that was also a point of the teambuilding session to challenge the leaders to push their own boarders.
Afterward I divided the group in two and they got the challenge of writing an article about leadership. The point here was to get them to work together for a final result and it went well. Writing your thoughts down on paper is a powerful tool to get yourself focused on what is important in your life. After I started blogging almost a year ago, I have become clearer about my own leadership style, thanks to writing so much about it. This was also a point of this practice.
The evening ended with a cocktail course and a nice Tapas dinner at a local restaurant.
