I always appreciate when people choose to analyze their own thoughts and choose to have a conscious and positive impact on their overall mindset.

I'd like to make a few comments.

1) First of all, you are trying to make yourself believe that chocolate is disgusting. But let's think about this...what is a belief? A belief is simply a thought you hold true and repeat to yourself on a regular basis... yet, is there a reason to convince yourself that chocolate is disgusting if you a really love it?

Rather, remind yourself of the reasons why you want to stop eating it. Why change a habit if you can't justify the need to change? Find the reason and changing the habit becomes easier.

2) The Mind Trap - This is true, our brains are machines that love to justify it's reasons for everything. But when you are discussing not creating barriers such as 'I don't find dates because I am shy', we normally consider these limiting beliefs. Beliefs that we hold true that hold us back from living to our full potential. These first need to be realized before we can move past them.

Thanks for your thoughts. If you want to read more on positive thinking, you should check out this post:

It's about using a little time for some meditation and while you are doing it think positively. Do this at the start of the day and you will set yourself up.
