Fun at Work: Men vs Women

Who plays more at work? I have been thinking about this lately after reading a Norwegian blog where the author is forming a theory that Men play more at work than Women.
Is there a difference in the “fun at work” – level in male dominated environments contra female dominated?
Is there a difference between the sexes of the leader?
Is there any research made in this field? Just asking.

Dust From the Back of my Closet

I am browsing my blog today. I have been blogging about leadership and motivation since June 2008. I decided to look back to find the old dusty posts that’s all forgotten. I am walking down memory lane shining light into the darkest places of my blog. Looking back at these old posts is refreshing my memory. He wonders how to handle this situation and get the employees to see the importance of selling. I sat down to write him an answer this evening, but hey, there are a lot of good brains out there in the World Wide Web, so why not ask? How can we help him boost sales in his clothing department?
I believe that it …

Can you manage without a manager?

Work philosophy kind of got my way today. Is it possible to teach a team to work hard together without a leader or manager? The team is responsible for reaching the goals. The team is responsible for filing the reports. The team is responsible for training and getting the job done? Or will a team crumble without supervision? How will no manager impact results and productivity? Will they all slack? Does the team need incentives, or should intrinsic motivation be enough? I would love if I was redundant at work, and if I for some reason disappear, I would know …
