Never Mind the Manager

My new blog

My new blog

A new era has come upon my blog. I am leaving my proper pants blog on blogspot and move to my new blog at I have been blogging since June 2008, and I am getting closer to my post nr 100. So far more than 5500 people from 97 countries have read my blog.

First of all I would like to pass on some practical information: My RSS feed have gotten a new address, this is:

I will no longer allow comments on the Proper Pants blog. To comment please comment at this blog.

Why the name ”never mind the manager”?
I had a brainstorming session and ended up with five alternatives, and never mind the manager was directly influenced by the name of an album recorded by a British Punk band. This was their only studio album released in November 1977. If you know what band, use the comment field.
Another thing I liked about this name is that there is a new kind of managers surfacing today, this people are more team players and coaches than the traditional ruling manager. This is also something close to my own style, so all together this name is fun, reminds me about some of my favorite music, and also help me to keep in mind the new style of leadership.
Thank you all for reading, and keep on reading. I do hope you like my new blog. Welcome to

Ding ding ding, and the winner is CC Holland, 😀 w
When brainstorming the name for my new blog a lot of albums and movies got a leader/manager/coaching twist. And Never Mind the Bollocks – Here comes the Sex Pistols album from 1977 made it to the top – and with a little good input and advice from a friend, Never Mind the Manager got to be the new name for my blog – and I love it.

I am really looking forward to keep reading your BNet updates 🙂

  2. Hi Frode! Love the name of your new blog — and of course I get the reference to the Sex Pistols’ fabulous album. I’m looking forward to reading more of your insights…and in fact, I loved your “care and watering” of employees piece so much, I’m thinking about featuring it on my BNet blog this week. 🙂
